IB-JSA
Thu 29-Oct-09 10:02 AM

Good morning, hope all is well

Well, I have a client who is working 10 hours per week her husband is working 16 hours.

She claims IBJSA but it finishes next week. They are in receipt of CTC, CHB may be WTC will find out.

They have a mortgage where they are struggling to keep the payments up to date and they have not had any help with paying the interest on their mortgage from DWP.

Whatt will happen after the IBJSA stops? can they apply for something else?

Thanks

P.S they have no savings

Why would IBJSA stop? Do you mean CBJSA which only lasts 28 weeks? IBJSA can last as long as they qualify and if she is the claimant they are not automatically disqualified as he is working less than 24 hours. They would not be a joint claim couple if they have young children.
I think that the root of this question is about qualifying for mortgage interest help as part of IBJSA, but others may see soemthing different.
