HMRC Processing times
Wed 10-Dec-08 10:59 AM

Does anybody know of any figures, or have personal experience, that will let me have a good stab at how long it's currently taking HMRC to process in-year changes and new claims?

I just need to stick some justifiable times into a presentation I'm writing and need to be able to say something like

At the moment HMRC are typically taking

X weeks to decide a new claim
Y weeks to activate an in-year change

These seem to be running smoothly for our clients at the mo (if things start going wrong again i'm blaming you! )

Both taking about 7-10 days at the mo.

The last new claim I know of was submitted mid October, & took about 3 weeks.
