I am wondering if anybody has any idea where this case is up to? I heard that it should be heard in the house Of Lords in July. Could anyone shed some light on the situation?

Thanks

laura

I cannot remember where I heard or read about it, but it seems it will be heard in October 2004.

Barry McVeigh of Citizens Advice Northern Ireland has emailed to say that the Social Security Commissioners in Northern Ireland have said that the Hinchy case has been listed to be heard by the Judicial Committe of the House of Lords on 31 Jan and 1 Feb 2005. There are 5 cases in NI and 97 cases in England being held pending the oucome of Hinchy

I belive 'Hinchy' was due to be heard on Monday 31st Jan and Tuesday 2nd Feb. How long does it usually take to get the decision?

Tomorrow (Thursday 9 February) seems likely, since opinions are almost invariably delivered to the House on a Thursday morning.

Apparently not - the House of Lords Judicial Office don't expect judgment this week. Surprising that they're taking so long to think about it.
