Hi everyone

I just wanted to confirm that the next NAWRA meeting will be held on Friday 5th March 2010 at the All Nations Centre, Sachville Avenue, Heath, Cardiff, CF14 3NY.

Directions to the venue are now on the NAWRA website (www.nawra.org.uk) and an outline agenda will appear there shortly. To wet your appetite, we expect to have speakers and workshops covering the following topics:

* 'From CLSPs to CLACs - Local Government and Legal Aid (Stephen Hynes, Chair of Legal Action Group)
* Benefits and the Election – a review of party policies
* Employment and Support Allowance Appeals
* Poverty and Welfare Rights
* Welfare Rights in difficult times – cutbacks and opportunities
* Time limits and appeals

This meeting incorporates the NAWRA AGM so if you have any motions to submit, please send them to Kelly Smith (kelly@nawra.org.uk). A 'call to stand' for the NAWRA committee has also been issued. If you are interested in standing, please email Kelly at the same address. We are particularly keen to have representation in Scotland, Wales and South-East England although we welcome interest from all regions.

Just a quick update to say that the final agenda, and loads of other useful information, is now available on the NAWRA website at http://nawra.org.uk/schedule.htm.

For those arriving on Thursday 4th, there will be a social evening at the Golden Cross, Hayes Bridge Road, from 6.30 pm. Details are contained in the agenda documents.
