IB or JSA?
Mon 15-Oct-07 01:58 PM

Have a bit of a mind block about this one. Client recieved JSA wef 10/8 having lost job. On 2/9 she had a stroke. She was due to sign on that week but rang (from hospital!) to explain she wouldn't be able to. IB is now in payment wef 6/9. JSA has been paid up until 28/8. Who should pay her for the period 29/8-5/9? IB start date seems correct (3 waiting days from 2/9) so it seems to me she should remain entitled to JSA for that period, but on the other hand she was technically incapable of work from 2/9. I feel like I'm missing something obvious. Would be grateful for any opinions/suggestions.
