Hi, I'm new to the field of benefits advice, but I went to see a lady who had come from a refuge after suffering domestic violence and had made a claim for Income Support and Incapacity Benefit, because the IS section and IB section are in different counties there appears to be a breakdown in communication, however this lady has no income so I rang the Social Fund to be told that she could not get a crisis loan until her IS/IB had been decided, I now know this to be wrong, do many others experience similar problems trying to access social fund? It took me an hour to get through on the phone
