Did they give a good reason as to why? Other than they didn't want to speak to you of course - try getting through to their Customer service manager and ask the question - you may not get a definative answer, but it's almost as satisfying to listen to the various reasons that they might come up with................do let us know what they say..

When I asked the person said in a shocked tone "Oh no! That's not part of the process at all."
I have recently been on a tour of the office and I have customer services email address (and I'm not afraid to use them!) I'll let you know if anything comes of it ...

There was a questionnaire attached to the latest 'Touchbase' (if you don't know what that is please just believe me there are some things better left unknown, although this issue did have the first interesting thing ever in it about voluntary disclosure for fraud (but it wasn't interesting enough to warrant reading it again)) asking for opinions on the revision stage. Came from Quarry House standards secretariat or something.
Anyway one question on it was 'Do you find it easy to speak to a Decision Maker on the telephone?'.
