mortgage support interest rate
Wed 18-Mar-09 09:51 AM

Following the decision that the DWP's standard interest rate for housing costs would be frozen at 6.08%, to be reviewed in six months time, has anyone become aware of what may happen, when any news will be anounced in relation to what is going to happen after the six months? This is particularly topical to a number of applications to suspend evictions I have at the moment where reasonable payment proposals are possible in light of the current rate but may prove to be unsustainable if the interest rate reverts to Bank of England base rate plus 1.58%. Thanks
