Pension Credit , going abroad
Fri 17-Sep-04 11:23 AM

Got a tenant who just qualified and has been awarded PC. She plans to go abroad for up to 10 weeks. Are the rules the same as for Income support where entitlement can continue for up to 4 weeks ?

Yup, Pension Credit basic rule is that it is payable for up to four weeks temporary absence abroad

Age Concern has recently launched a mini campaign to get this improved -- see our info and an 8 page booklet explaining the issue at http://www.ageconcern.org.uk/AgeConcern/news_2866.htm

We were pleased to see yesterday's news story that Govt may be considering changes
