IB Stopped
Tue 18-Aug-09 11:47 AM

I have a client who went to have her medical and her IB has been stopped.

She sent GL24 and still awaiting a decision, in the meantime she has no money at all and was advised to apply for ESA until she hears from DWP regarding her appeal.

Shouls she apply for IS or .....what is the best for her?

Choice of 3 (assuming she is single and does not have capital over £16000.
1. Apply for ESA but would be subject to LCW test, WFIs, etc
2. Apply for reduced rate IS
3. Apply for JSA which would not prejudice appeal, but would have to job seek

Thanks Brian,
I just was not sure after I had a conversation over the telephone with JCP where they refused to accepy client's income support application.

It has been sorted now and the application has been made
