milk tokens
Thu 16-Feb-06 02:59 PM

Hi all
has anyone come across - or even better, solved - this conundrum

Income Support confirm that they have input onto their computer record the information needed by health service milk token unit computer in order for milk tokens to be issued - and I accept that they have indeed done so. They have checked at least 4 times in the last 2 months that it has been done, and can do no more from their end. (Altough they did suggest that the milk token people could contact them to verify - but even I can see that there is no apparent reason for MT staff to see any reason to do so)
The Health Service Milk Token helpline (if only) say they have not had this authorisation, and tokens therefore cannot be issued. They had no suggestions as to how this might be overcome, except to verify that the information has been put in the system..... (I & the health visitor have trodden this path all too frequently for this one family, and my head won't take any more brick wall banging) ....
Any working brains left with bright ideas?

Letter of complaint followed by MP involvement if unsatisfactory response? Short of a bit of head bashing, I can't think of anything else...
