When can an AIP be brought to an end ??
Fri 11-Feb-05 06:08 AM

Client, owner occupier, claims PC, gets it awarded with AIP to 2010. Has now gone into a residential care home so notified of change of address - PC reassessed as she has over £20'000 in savings so higher lower limit of £10'000 now applicable - award comes back saying not able to give AIP and now asking questions about the value of her home etc.

Can an AIP be brought to an end like this - are there prescribed circumstances when this will happen??

Also she is not selling house in case her health improves and she can move back (has mental health issues), now this is unlikely but there is a possiblity if she responds well to medication. Can she be said to have permanently moved and if not does this affect the above??

Many thanks
