Incapacity Benefit adult addition
Fri 11-Feb-05 06:01 AM

Am I right in thinking that the adult addition is only payable with long term ICB where the additional adult partner is aged 60 or over??

I have a couple Mr aged 61 and on long term ICB, Mrs aged 58 is currently working but looking to reduce hours or give up altogether but I don't think he will be able to claim an addition for her in his ICB will he???

Nope.

They must be married as its an increase for a Spouse.

There's an earnings limit which in effect makes it a means tested benefit. pensions count also.

Have you checked CPAG?

How about topping this up with pension credit as he is over 60?
