Meeting next week with our Children's Department about policy on these payments and how they relate to DWP and HMRC support. Looking particularly at eg. Tax Credit delays and overpayments, Hab. Res. cases, relationship with crisis loans, possibility of making S.17 payments as loans.

Anyone have experience of (ideally examples of) policies in other authorities? Or does everyone just make it up as they go along?
