legal aid for medical evidence in scotland
Wed 03-Mar-10 08:52 AM

Due to the increasing number of gp surgeries unwilling to supply medical evidence without a fee our organisation is considering going down the route of advising clients to seek legal aid.

I know some councils such as glasgow and north lanarkshire do this and i am fairly sure a housing association in the north of glasgow do the same.

I am just wondering what peoples experiences of this have been i.e. the difficulties involved, if it has improved the level of evidence received etc.

If any other organisations are doing this then i would be very interested in seeing any standard letters that are used for this purpose as we would need to develop our own if we go down this route.
