ICB affected by court case?
Wed 24-Aug-05 08:40 AM

I have a client on LT ICB, who got caught as an unlicensed taxi driver on his first week of trying the job. Hadn't disclosed the work to DWP so work wasn't permitted. He was genuinely just trying the job to see if he could cope with it (long term mental health problems).

He has been asked to provide details of his income to the court. My question - is there any protocol between courts and DWP to report suspected fraud?

Thanks

Don't know about the protocol. On the permitted work issue, remeber there is 42 days to report higher rate permitted work, so he could still be able to tell them and get it accepted, depending on when he started the work.

Thanks for that but he was caught quite a few months ago - he didn't think the LA were pursuing it, so didn't seek advice until the summons arrived.
