Client tried to claim Health in Pregnancy Grant several times when pregnant, and within the prescribed time period. Each time the health worker said they had run out of forms. On several of these occasions the client was told a note had been made of her fruitless request for a claim form, and when the forms arrived, confirmation would be made that she had tried to claim.
The forms never turned up until after the birth. It turns out HMRC never printed enough etc. Client then tried to claim again, this time on a claim form. Has now been refused on the basis the 'claim' was made after the birth of the child. Of course the various health professionals are going vague on earlier promises (see above). Client is very plausible, and has entered an appeal.
Anyone got any ideas how we can turn her attempts to get a claim form (whilst pregnant) to be construed as a 'claim'?
Many thanks
Steve
