In the coming days, I will go much further to support people’s financial security, says Chancellor

The government has said that it is to 'urgently develop' new forms of employment support in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

Speaking at a press conference inside 10 Downing Street yesterday, the Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced a £330 billion package of support for people and businesses.

In respect of individuals, Mr Sunak said -

'... in the coming days, I will go much further to support people’s financial security. In particular, I will work with trade unions and business groups to urgently develop new forms of employment support to help protect people’s jobs and incomes through this period.'
