National Minimum Wage (Amendment) Regulations 2013

With effect from 1 October 2013, new regulations amend provisions of the National Minimum Wage Regulations 1999 to increase the hourly rates for the national minimum wage as follows - 1) the principal rate from £6.19 to £6.31; 2) the rate for workers who are aged 18 or over but not yet aged 21 from £4.98 to £5.03; 3) the rate for workers aged under 18 from £3.68 to £3.72 per hour; and 4) the apprentice rate from £2.65 to £2.68.

Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Act 2013 (Consequential Amendments) (Employment) Order 2013

New statutory instrument makes consequential amendments arising from section 23 of the Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Act 2013 which came into force on 29 July 2013 - section 23 changes references to 'compromise agreements' and 'compromise contracts' to 'settlement agreements' and 'settlement contracts' in specified primary legislation relating to employment matters.
