This course covers:
- Entitlement to DLA & AA
- Decision making, revision, supersession and appeals processes and frameworks
- Applying statute and case law to claimants functional disabilities
- Forthcoming changes to DLA from 2013/4 (including Personal Independence Payments)
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Understand both statute and current case law to enable you to make more effective claims, revision and supersession applications
- Understand and be able to challenge the decision making processes
- Use case law to make an effective appeal and understand when to challenge an appeal decision.
NB: Attendees are advised to attend the standard Disability Living Allowance & Attendance Allowance Course before the advanced level, unless they are already very familiar with DLA/AA .
