'Delivering better together'
Voluntary and community organisations encouraged to get involved in Compact Week
The focus of this year's Compact week taking place between 1-8 November is on encouraging organisations from the voluntary and community sector, along with government departments, local authorities and other public bodies, to promote and learn more about the Compact and share good practice.NB - The Compact is the agreement between government and the voluntary and community sector on how they should work together, setting out a shared vision and rules for creating more effective working relationships between both sides of the relationship.
A number of events are planned around the country that will be used to promote, champion, review and take forward local Compacts with a focus on this year's theme 'Delivering Better Together', and linking local Compacts with Local Area Agreements and Local Strategic Partnerships.
More information on Compact Week is available here.
