Revised fees and rates payable to providers under the civil legal aid fixed fee schemes
New regulations
New regulations have been issued in relation to the fees and rates payable to solicitors and Not for Profit organisations who provide civil legal aid services.
Following the agreement reached last month between the Law Society, the Legal Services Commission and the Ministry of Justice on the unified contract, the new regulations - the Community Legal Service (Funding) (Amendment) Order 2008 (SI.No.1328/2008) - provide for revised fees and rates to be payable to providers under the civil legal aid fixed fee schemes for matters begun on or after 1 July 2008.
SI.No.1328/2008 is available here.
