Panel members appointed to Third Sector Advisory Body
Helping the government make the right choices for a thriving third sector
Phil Hope, Third Sector Minister, announced the appointment of the panel of the new Third Sector Advisory Body (TSAB) yesterday. The TSAB has been set up to provide ministers with clear and authoritative advice on policy regarding the third sector, and was a commitment of the Third Sector Review published in 2007.
Commenting on the new appointments, Phil Hope said -
'The advisory body has a hugely important role in helping the Government make the right choices for a thriving third sector. I am confident their expertise experience and authority will prove invaluable in our drive to support the third sector and the increasingly important part it plays in society.'
Baroness Jill Pitkeathley, Chair of the TSAB added that -
'I'm delighted with these appointments. Their range of experience and backgrounds will ensure a robust advisory body that won't be afraid to talk straight. We will start work as soon as possible to ensure that the third sector's interests are put at the heart of policy making.'
