Senior Adviser: Welfare Benefits and Debt

Managing a caseload, you'll provide members of the public with expert advice on a range of welfare benefits and debt issues - such as :
Preparation of financial statements, debt prioritisation, preparation of repayment plans, negotiation with creditors, county court enforcement action, insolvency, welfare & housing benefits, challenging decisions and appeals, tribunals and commissioners hearings.
At the same time, you'll also supervise other staff, coaching and mentoring them as required and giving them expert support on complex cases.
A background in advice work, preferably to LSC or equivalent standard is essential for this post and an ability to meet the Supervisors Standards would be desirable. You will also have experience of welfare benefits, debt, or community care law.
Results oriented and a good team player, you will be familiar with case management systems, Word, Excel.
Finally the role calls for proven experience of supervising casework and supporting other staff.
