An exciting chance to shape a new project!
LAND is a partnership of Darlington Citizens Advice Bureau, Age Concern Darlington, and Darlington Borough Council through its Welfare Rights Unit. The partnership is funded until 2012 by the Big Lottery to improve access to legal advice at both specialist and generalist levels at venues which provide equality of access to the most vulnerable groups in our society.
The project will raise awareness of advice provision in Darlington, develop collaborative working for the benefit of clients, and increase the number of advisers in the Borough. The first stage of the project is the appointment of the Partnership Development & Take-Up Officer, who will establish baselines for the project, develop the existing Community Advice Network, draw up cross-referral protocols, increase awareness of the work of the partners and engage in targeted income maximization take-up campaigns.
The post is for three years, and the appointee will be employed by Darlington Citizens Advice Bureau, as lead partner, although management is expected to be devolved to the Welfare Rights Unit of Darlington Borough Council.
The bureau is an Equal Opportunities employer.
