Welfare Rights Appeals Worker

36.25 hours per week. £22,221 - £26,276 (depending on experience) plus 6% contribution to pension

We are looking to recruit a committed, experienced worker to join our County-wide Welfare Rights Team.
The work involves -
- Tribunal representation;
- Providing telephone advice to other agencies in the County;
- Training statutory & voluntary sector workers
- plus, where required -
- Producing factsheets and leaflets;
- Participating in County-wide take-up campaigns.
Warwickshire Welfare Rights Advice Service is a well-regarded advice and support service operating in the field of social security in the county of Warwickshire. We provide advice and support to the statutory, independent and voluntary sector of the County.
We are looking for a committed and skilled welfare rights worker to join our well established county-wide appeals team. You should have experience of tribunal representation, although full training and support will be given to any suitable candidate.
You will be required to carry an appeals caseload, contribute to presenting training and talks at all levels, and help staff an enquiry line for all agencies in Warwickshire. You may also be involved in producing information items and participation in take-up campaigns.
