Advocacy in Wirral is a well-established charity formed in 1992 to provide free, confidential, impartial advice and support to vulnerable residents with mental health issues across Wirral.
Following the outstanding success of the Primary Care Advice Link Service, a joint partnership with Wirral CABx, we have been commissioned by Wirral PCT to expand our service for a further 3 years. We are now looking to recruit advocates to join our existing team supporting people with mild to moderate mental health issues.
Applicants must be able to offer high quality, holistic advice and information to people experiencing mental ill health. Advice includes welfare benefit, money and debt, housing and social problems. Successful candidates will be required to undertake training to deliver low intensity psychological therapies.
