Finding that you're going to lose your sight can be devastating. But the right support can make a world of difference. This is why we are setting up our new Information and Advice Service. With this innovative, UK-wide service, we aim to provide practical, legal and emotional support to those who need it most, when they need it most. We're going to make a massive difference to people’s lives. You could too.
Leading the provision of advice and support, you will actively ensure that the legal rights of blind and partially sighted people are protected. This will involve such areas as welfare rights, social care and DDA, as well as a host of other ad hoc issues as they arise.
Whatever the challenge, you will manage your team, support their work and provide ongoing advice. Operational management experience is therefore vital, and a legal qualification would also prove an asset. What's more, you must have extensive experience of providing in depth advice and formal representation on a range of legal areas.
Interview dates: weeks commencing 25 August and 1 September 2008.
Committed to diversity.
