Elaine has come across the following issue.  Is anyone else coming across this?

Client severely disabled and getting high rate both DLA components. Rarely able to leave the house.

Whilst on the journey to the WCA with her carer received a voicemail message cancelling the appointment.

Then ESA stopped for failure to attend. Decision confirmed on Mandatory Recon and ESA only re-instated when we intervened with DM.

Benefit Delivery Centre said they had come across other cases where Maximus had not kept a record of cancelling the appointment by phone call and had returned the files to DWP.  Maximus get paid for each re-referral , so seems to be a financial disincentive to Maximus sorting this out.
