They’ve just abolished the WRAG group!!

This makes no sense!

Yea I saw that. There will no longer be the component payment in WRAG, and so claimants would be no better off than they would be if they were on JSA. I guess its their way of trying to discourage people from going down the ESA route. They must think that people claim ESA purely for financial reasons!!

Well of course they do. Those Benefit-Street good for nothing layabouts will do anything for a doughnut let alone £28.00….

I remember not long ago repping a client who had, prior to falling ill, been a senior social worker for many years. She said during her hearing that what made her really bitter was the inference that she was swinging the lead for the sake of significantly less than she had previously earned in an hour.

Just received a letter from a client receiving ESA who has been yo-yoing between SG and WRAG over the years

Letter begins:

“I have just been relegated from the premiership to the championship but with no parachute payment..”

and ends -

” Ah well from riches to (w) rags…”!
