You may have seen that the Social Security Advisory Committee is currently undertaking a short consultation on The Employment and Support Allowance (Repeat Assessments) (Amendment) Regulations 2015.

Here’s a link to the announcement for information: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/proposals-to-close-esa-loophole-may-have-unintended-consequences

Professor John Ditch and Colin Godbold (Committee members) will be hosting a workshop in London on 17 December (13.15-14.45hrs) to gather views and evidence that will help shape the Committee’s thinking as it prepares its advice for the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions.  They would very much like you to participate in that discussion.

The event will be held at:

Caxton House
Tothill Street
London
SW1H 9NA

They realise that this is very short notice – especially given the proximity to Christmas and the new year – but would welcome your input.  Please let them know if you would like to attend by emailing .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

For those of you who do not know John and Colin, their biographies can be accessed here: https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/social-security-advisory-committee/about/membership
