Come into work on a Monday morning to find that the IT bods have wrecked my computer. Finally get bits of it to work and get this message from the DWP re. PIP reassessment areas being extended:

From 17 November 2014, areas further extend to include postcodes beginning: CH, HD, L and M.

Just great.

Edit
Sorry, had missed that this was already on the newspage

My autistic daughter turns 16 next month. We had the Visiting Officer from DWP out a couple of weeks ago to check my appointee status. We arent in a PIP area yet. I said thought all clamants on 16th birthday would be invited to claim PIP, she said “don’t hold your breath”

Daughter would be better off on PIP as she should qualify for the Higher rate of Moving Around as she couldnt plan and follow a journey.

Why extend it, when they can’t cope with the current workload?

Been told they are having a huge recruitment drive to get more assessors. But yiu are right, they would be better waiting till they had the staff in place.
