It has come to our attention that ATOS stopped using the York Place Assessment Centre on July 11 2014, with the intention of opening a service in Argyle House from 25 July. There has been a delay in the lease being signed - hence no service to date. As a result, ATOS have been arranging appointments in Glasgow, Kirkaldy and Stirling. Anyone unable to travel these distances may be able to get authorisation to use a taxi or have a home visit, but would need to provide supporting evidence from their medical provider, stating why they would be unable to manage the journey.

We have had countless attempts to find out why the long delays here, before prising out this information (via a client’s MP). Could it get any better?

Interesting Terry

I’ve had clients tell me that York Place is closed now, but I just assumed they were getting mixed up with PIP assessments…

According to the tenant I spoke to yesterday they’re doing the assessments at Argyle House.
