Interesting Parliamentary Ombudsman case:

Appellant awarded compensation when an administrative error by HM Courts & Tribunals Service - the day before she was due to attend a court hearing, HMCTS contacted her to say it had lost her paperwork - led to the cancellation of the hearing.

doesn’t say whether it was a court case or a tribunal case ... would be interesting to know that.
but as for court maladministration… mmmmmmmm ... different story if we get something wrong of course!

What staggered me was £3600 to the barrister.  Even if 20% is VAT this is a very large sum.  Either an extremely complex case or a generously paid barrister?
