I have a query regarding a couple claim.

Mr is getting ESA (IB) and currently in the WRAG. Girlfriend wants to move in and is currently getting JSA (C) but due to start college full-time in September. This is when she will move in. If they make a joint claim for ESA, how will the student be treated? i.e will she be excluded from seeking work and they will just be paid the couple amount? I can’t see JCP excluding her just because she is studying full-time though?

Thanks Tony - I meant that obviously she’ll get her JSA (C) now as they are living apart and she is a job seeker but once she is a student and they move in together, I was unsure if JCP would require her to attend work focused interviews as a partner on the ESA claim.

Cheers
