In a written answer in parliament yesterday the Minister for Disabled People said that between September 2011 and September 2013 the number of applicants for ESA who requested an audio recorded work capability assessment was 4,109 and that 99.8% of these were agreed to.

Couple of staff from our office has requested tape recording for several claimants and not one has been provided with. ATOS always came up with an excuse and somehow managed to get the claimants in for the assessment without recordings.

I’m afraid that can’t be true.  All nine refusals must have been the cases I’ve heard about just in the Stockport area.
