Does anyone know if there is the equivalent of the COP26 for UC overpayments?
Has anyone successfully challenged non recovery of UC o/p?

There is also a helpful FOI request here, via a rightsnet user: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/code_of_conduct_universal_credit

(I have tried to post a longer answer in this thread, and got a 500 server error…)

I have asked for a write off but it is currently lost in the tangled web of UC decision making ... I need to chase it up .. has been going on about for well over 6 months

Hi Sarah
did you get any where with the write off? Sorry I know its a long time ago.

Have come across couple of refugees who claimed UC some time ago, only for JCP to discover cap wasn’t applied - which was JCP mistake as they knew about it - and they are recovering the OP.

I have one at the moment that I had to escalate through partnership manager (no one knew who was going to make the decision) now with a senior team (whoever that may be) I sent the letter from amber rudd with my request to write off
