Hi All,

I am interested in hearing about problems (and also good things) with using the UC journal- what it is useful for, what it is not useful for. What you can do with it and what you can’t but should be able to etc.

Any amusing stories about UC journals are particularly appreciated.

All the best.

A very common one, IME, is for deductions to be made and the payment screen to say “see your journal for details” and on the journal details there are none.

On request again in IME someone will put them on and even IME apologise but deductions don’t go on the journal automatically.

That’s not funny, I’m afraid.

“... Our records show that you receive £97.20 a week in incapacity benefit”

then 4 days later:

“... our system clearly shows that you are not in receipt of incapacity benefit. I hope this reassures you”
