More detail needed really. Contribution based on income related? Does the partner work? How do you know he is in the Support Group?

Sometimes the answer to this sort of thing is that the client did not go to a WCA—didn’t realise there was one, doesn;t understand that his ESA would stop, doesn’t understand that it has stopped.

Try ringing the DWP and asking 😊

She doesn’t have a bank account….
She’s given them the wrong bank account details…..
She’s upset someone…...
She’s not in the support group at all - she actually failed the WCA…...

Want me to go on?

Is the partner working? - this would stop income-related ESA being paid if they are working 24+ hours or the income takes them outside means-tested benefits.

Have they any award letters from ESA? That should clarify if it is indeed support group, whether contributory or income-related, and explain why they are paying a nil amount. If your client hasn’t got one you can ring DWP and ask them to send a repeat one - and indeed ask why no payment is being made - as Sally said above that’s probably the best starting point.

It’s difficult to guess without a bit more information but do come back when you have it :)
