Client has a significant learning difficulty amongst other disabilities. HCP observed that he was ‘unable to calculate correct change from £1 when spending 75p. He was unable to remember three objects’.

Despite this he had only a ‘mild delay in cognitive function and memory’ and attracted nil points. We’re particularly fascinated that his inability to calculate change and remember the three objects is then cited as a reason for why he is able to get about on his own, learn complex tasks and being aware of danger. Priceless.

Colleague has commented that no doubt the client could easily get a job with the DWP.

For “significant learning difficulty”, read “easy target”!
