My client has just won an appeal, the result of which was total discreditation of the Atos report (as it then was).

I have considered complaining about the same assessor in the past, but have not done so yet. If my client wishes to complain this time, who should the complaint go to?

If it goes to Atos, it will presumably be academic now as the assessor will have moved over with the contract. But if I send it to Maximus, is there any way to stop them just saying they weren’t in charge when the assessment took place? The complaint is really about the assessor rather than the company.

If the complaint is about the professional practice of the assessor then you might consider reporting them to their governing body, the GMC or the RCN. This would sidestep any confusions about who was employing them .
