I’m posting this information request on behalf of the Disability Benefits Consortium (DBC) -

http://disabilitybenefitsconsortium.wordpress.com/

In relation to its campaign against PIP assessment delays, the DBC needs feedback from advisers as to the information clients are being given when they query the length of time they have been waiting with the DWP, Atos or Capita.

The PIP helpline currently advises callers by tape message -

‘PIP assessments are taking 26 weeks or longer from the time we receive your PIP2. You don’t need to speak to us unless you need to tell us your circumstances have changed. However, if you’d still like to speak to someone then please wait…. ‘

If someone manages to speak to the DWP or Atos or Capita what kind of information are they being given as to how long their PIP assessment will take?

Any evidence advisers can report back on this will be really helpful.

Please send any information you can give to Rosanna Singler @ .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

Thanks very much in advance to all those who can help.
