PIP silly question

Please forgive me, I’ve been out of the welfare rights loop for a few years….

I can’t find anything on line relating to adult DLA supersessions and claims for PIP.  We’re in Manchester - does a DLA supersession request end DLA at this point, requiring a claimant to claim PIP?

If so, I’ll leave well alone!

thanks

DLA reassessments for PIP are extended to Manchester from 17/11/14 and this includes requests for DLA supersessions.

Right, thanks

So, if we’re doing a DLA supersession for a higher award of either component then it needs to be in before 17/11/14 or it’ll be treated as a new claim for PIP,  and DLA will end. Have I got that right?

I’m not sure.  I wouldn’t count on it.
