Probably been answered somewhere but I thought I would ask again.

Are ATOS not sending the medical reports to the DWP once the medicals are concluded or are the DWP not actioning them once they have received them?

Does anyone actually know?

I have this on reasonable authority…

The assessors are not producing reports that are up to standard so they’re being held back by ATOS until they meet that standard. An assessor needs to have a given number of reports passed at the first attempt before coming off 100% audit (DWP have published the framework somewhere) but they’re not managing to get past that milestone.

While on 100% audit every report bounces between the assessor and the auditor until it meets the audit standard; the repeated revision of reports it’s one thing that’s slowing them down.

They’ve learned from the errors of the WCA so they would have had us believe…

I may be cynical but I firmly believe, and its only my opinion, that too many people are actually meeting the descriptors and this is the reason awards/decisions are being delayed.
I think we will see the descriptors changed in the near future.

ATOS haven’t been quiet in saying that the Govt will struggle to hit their 20% reduction in caseload with the descriptors in their current form.
