Hi all,

Does anyone have email / contacts for anyone at Canterbury?

I’ve been trying the escalation contact on Daphne’s list all day (and yesterday) but it’s always engaged.

My first experience of full service UC has been farcical.  The ‘case manager’ ignore the requests via the journal and in the meantime my client (lone parent with a 2 year old) is left in severe financial hardship.

She got an HRT interview sprung on her without notice when she went to verify her identity so she didn’t have proof of her 5 years as a qualified person with her.  There were no responses to requests via the journal to find out who was handling her case so the evidence could be submitted.

On Monday I spoke to UC and got them to add an option on her “to do” list so that she could submit proof of her permanent residence electronically (Tribunal decision - acquired perm res - for an Income Support appeal heard in May).  They also escalated it to Canterbury and asked for an urgent HRT decision b/c she couldn’t get a UC advance until it was decided.

Less than an hour after clt send proof of permanent residence, she got a decision that she failed HRT and her claim closed (rationale that no evidence of perm res has been supplied).

So far today I’ve spoken to UC full service who redirected me to the live service who redirected me back to full service… I am now on hold.

Please help!
