My first one of these in a long while.

This should be obvious but I can’t quite work it out. Is this actually a JSA sanction or something else? Or both?

It looks to me like an intermediate level sanction - which only applies following a period of disallowance for;

1. not being available for work
2. not actively seeking work

If its a “first offence” then the sanction is 4 weeks - but the sanction period is then reduced by the period of disallowance - the disallowance is normally a 2 week period - therefore client gets nowt for 4 weeks, ie 2 week sanction + 2 week disallowance…..

the letters are as clear as mud but if its the reapplying part that gives rise to further confusion - then that will be down to the “disallowance” part of this decision.

I hope that makes some sense…..
