It’s nice to spout, an election is imminent!!

How much will this save the taxpayer? I suspect far, far less than cracking down on his cronies’ corporate tax avoidance. But of course the latter doesn’t appeal to the voters he is trying to win back from UKIP.

Depressing (and very, very predictable) isn’t it?

Would it not be lovely if the great British public woke up to the fact that their problems are not the fault of immigrants, but of the incompetent and corrupt British political class and their friends (and donors) in big business?

Sadly I fear this will not happen while the Daily Mail etc are still in action and colluding with the villains to hoodwink the public!

It was an interesting experience reading the comments after the Torygraph piece.

The Tory commentators weren’t happy as it was felt to be too little too late, shutting the door after the bounder has bolted etc etc, the UKIP’ers weren’t happy cos this is nicking our policies and it doesn’t go far enough and hanging is too good etc etc, the few lefties there were saying how outrageous it is for him to pander to stereotypes and why doesn’t he face facts and use the evidence etc etc. If there were any Lib-Dems, I didn’t notice (unless they were the ones typing with green ink).

But in a nutshell, virtually no-one seemed to be saying that they through this was a good announcement to have made…...which leads me to think, why?

“Latest analysis by the Migration Advisory Committee, which advises ministers, suggested the impact of low-skilled immigration on GDP, productivity and prices since 1997 has been “very modest” and there had been virtually no effect on the overall employment rate of UK-born workers.

But it concluded that low-skilled migration had had a “small” negative impact on the wages of low-paid British workers while there had been knock-on effects on the availability of housing and school places in areas of the country with disproportionately high level of incomers.”

Policy wise it’s insignificant.  Traditionally, the governing Party does not do well in midterm elections and most who voted UKIP will come back to the main parties come the general election.  The 2015 election will be fought largely on the economy with education and health running a close second.

I have seen the first letters today stating when clients entitlement runs out for JSA & HB, they vary from Dec 14 to Jan 15 at the moment, there getting quicker off the mark.

So if no entitlement to JSA, HB or any other benefit Mrs A who has 2 kids lets say becomes homeless. Is it intentional, no I believe, therefore S17 of CA 89 Kicks in and Social Services [SS] have a responsibility for Mrs A and 2 kids, and how long will SS pay for the Housing costs indefinitely?

Is this similar to moving deck chairs on the Titanic?
