ATOS PIP report, meaning of “updated”
Page 28 of the Atos PIP consultation report form - PA4, details the name, type of professional and date of the report. Below this are boxes;
“Last updated by”
“Type of professional”
“Date”
In all the reports i have seen previously these boxes have been blank.
In a report I am reading now the medical assessment was carried out by Ms X on 23/07/14. Boxes are then completed saying the report was last updated by Ms Y on 31/07/14. To my mind, “updated” means changed in some way, something added or taken away, as opposed, to say, “checked”. There is no indication in the body of the report of any changes.
Does anyone know what is taking place here. I have looked through the “PIP Assessment Guide” and cannot spot anything [but may have missed given it is 155 pages].

It’s the audit process. Ms X clearly hadn;t become approved yet and was subject to the reports being audited. Ms Y will be the auditor.
5% of ATOS reports go to audit anyway, even if they are approved.
