hopefully someone can help me out here.

client has a learning disability and was in receipt of middle care only DLA.  she was sent a pip form which she completed and sent back but it has been returned to her as apparently it hasn’t been completed properly. plot thickens in that it turns out her payments of dla have stopped since april time.

Ive only just spoken to the client by phone and will be visiting them as soon as i can get out to help with the pip form but my suspicion is she has had a timed award and the issues with the form not being accepted (and potentially some delay on her part) has meant that the dla award has ended.

My intention is to use the transitional regs and the power to extend to ask DLA to do that but im wondering if:

1. that’s likely to have much success (havent done it in practice)
2. if anyone has a contact for DLA i can use to get this looked at this side of 2016. i dont seem to have one for DLA in all my other escalation route emails etc.

there are issues along with the learning disability in this case that would make a speedy reinstating of DLA much appreciated.

I’ll bet you a tenner they change those addresses the first time a member of the public uses them. Maybe best in a DM?

I have reported this thread with that in mind.

Sorry

Thanks Dan - i have edited the above post. I have coincidentally had a call with someone from PIP today who is sending me the emails for each of the regional centres - when I have them all together I will add them to my lists for circulation. If anyone else has lists that they think would be helpful to advisers please do send them me and I can circulate to the mailing list.

Thanks
Daphne
