Change of circumstances ends passporting benefit - unreported changes missed on new entitlement

Hullo all.

Am interested in what happens in other areas when a passported benefit comes to an end. Eg long term award of IS/IB JSA ends when claimant starts working 16+ hours

Do your local authorities automatically send out a new claim form to capture ALL of the current circumstances, or just request income details? (I’m aware they don’t HAVE to send out a new claim form)

We have a couple of instances where unreported changes would have increased Housing Benefit if they had been picked up at the time, and looking at how best to address.

If anyone’s had anything like this, or any thoughts about this, please let me know

Thanks

Jo

As above, with a processing turn around of 3 months or more!
